How Can You Get Involved in DVYE Today?

Here is one very timely & exciting opportunity…

Our first event of 2009 is scheduled for Sat 5/2.  It is going to be a “Kentucky Derby – Churchill Downs West” Party in the Danville hills, and all tax deductible proceeds will benefit the Wheelchair Foundation. Here are some of the preliminary details of this exciting event:

Home of Sandee Wiedemann – 6500 Highland Road, Pleasanton, CA  94588 (this is actually located in the Danville hills, but in the old days this large parcel of land was zoned for Pleasanton, and the two cities have been fighting over the tax revenue ever since)

Party Starts 1:00 o’ clock – Three o’clock Post Time (times subject to change)

  • Mint Julep and Lunch will be served
  • Special Guest Wineries
  • Kentucky Derby Races
  • Woman’s Hat Contest
  • Raffle & Live Music

Fifty Dollars per Person
or
Seventy-five Dollars at the Door

At this time we are inviting any member who is interested in serving on the committee for this event. Responsibilities include attending weekly conference calls, and maybe one or two in person meetings, and helping with marketing and promoting the event and keeping track of ticket sales.  We are also welcome, but not obligated to help out with the logistical planning of the event.  However this event is already being planned by the Wheelchair Foundation, so there isn’t a whole lot of operational requirements on our part.  We are simply acting as a major sponsor of the event and assisting w/ promoting and marketing the event for a great cause, and to have a lot of fun in the process.

Anyone interested in serving on this committee, please email Don Davis ASAP at ddavis@novusinvestments.com .  For everyone else, please mark your calendar, and we hope to see you there.  Your support, however it may be provided, is always very well appreciated.
